His Kingdom Reigns

Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life"

  • Today’s verse from Bible

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

    1 john 1:8-9

Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fullness of God. With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine.

    Ephesians 3:19-20

  • What Bible says…

    About Sin

Anyone who knows the right thing to do, but does not do it is sinning.

    james 4:17

    About Wisdom

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools [a] despise wisdom and discipline

    Proverbs. 1:7

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

    James 1:5

    Eternal Life

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

    John 3:16

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control.

    Philippians 3:20-21

    Faith On God

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

    Hebrews 11:16

We set our eyes not on what we see but on what we cannot see. What we see will last only a short time, but what we cannot see will last forever.

    2 corinthians 4:18

We live by what we believe, not by what we can see.

    2 corinthians 5:7

    Love one another

This is my(Jesus) command: Love each other.

    John 15:17

We should love people not only with words and talk, but by our actions and true caring

Peace

Posted by Hubert Godfrey on November 2, 2009

In mid of civilization and scientific advancement the world in a quiet state of chaos. Peace is just vanishing from the family and tthe society. People are either apathetic or enraged due to selfishness. The society and the world in large are crying out, hoping for something more, something better. Our attitude to have every thing in control and our obsessive “planning for our future” has removed the peace from our lives.

Remember the joy and peace that we used to have as a child? We had our parents to take care of all our needs and wants. So we lived a care free life. Even now there is God who is the author of this world taking care of us each and every moment. When we start to trust God and leave our worries about future to him, we will have peace again.

God cares about you and every part of your life. Not even a sparrow falls to the ground without his knowledge. He even knows the number of hairs on our head! (these are all mentioned in the God’s word, The Bible).

The peace that the world is short lived. Its like a Ice Cream that melts away. But you can experience God’s peace even in times of trouble, when there is so much turbulence in your life. We can have God’s peace when we believe him and let him take care of our lives.

So how do we let God take care of our lives? The answerer would depend on each of our situations and problmes. But the solution is to seek God when you need advice or to plan something. Simply ask God in prayer, just like you would ask your Dad for something when you were a child.

Believe, you will see the glory of God

Posted by Hubert Godfrey on October 22, 2009

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

John 11:40

Jesus said this above statement to Martha, whose brother named Lazarus was dead four days ago and Jesus asked them to open the tomb of Lazarus. But once they obeyed him and opened the tomb where the body of Lazarus was, Jesus  called out saying:

Lazarus, come out!

John 11:43

Then the dead man came out of the tomb alive!

Takeaway: If you believe in God, then you would see the glory of God. Believing is when you have 0% doubt and 100% trust.

Let’s pray to God that we will have such a Belief on God.  Amen

God Bless You.

Forgive One Another

Posted by subiksha on October 20, 2009

Jesus says:

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Mark 11:25

In another instance Peter one of the 12 disciples of Lord Jesus, asked Him how many times he should forgive someone who sins(do things) against him.

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Matthew 18:21-22

No one in this world is perfect. But when we forgive one another, the imperfection disappears. Finally if you want others to forgive you your imperfections, you need to forgive theirs first. Again Jesus says it like this:

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you

Matthew 7:12

Action Item:  Lets forgive one another, and let God’s peace be with us.

We are friends of Jesus!

Posted by Hubert Godfrey on September 30, 2009

How to be friends with Jesus? What does Jesus say about that in the Holy Bible, the Word of God?

You are my friends if you do what I command you.
John 15:14

We know the need for a friend, right. Friends are for, to spend nice time with. Have a long chit chat after returning from office, or pour out our feelings and burdens with them…. The list goes on and on.

We cannot live in this world without friends. You all would agree on this. Our orkut, facebook, email accounts, our mobile phone’ contact lists is a proof  for this :)

But our human friends have a limit in being available for us at all times. Our human friends too, like us, have worries, a job, a family, a future take care of. So our friends may avoid us when they have other prioities.

BUT rejoice! There is one friend who has no other priority than looking after each one of you and me. In fact he has gone to the extent of giving his life for us all to save us from the bondage of this world. That faithful friend is Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “The greatest love a person can show is to die for his friends.” (John 15:13). And he did that also; He died on the cross to save us from the troubles of the world

There is only one thing this freind expects from us:

This is my command: Love each other as I have loved you.
John 15:12

Jesus expects us to show love to our friends, colleagues, relatives, neighbours, even strangers and enemies. It is easy to love our parents, our friends, our spouse, our kids. But God expects us to not show partiality in showing our Love. Remember Christ died for us all when we still did not have love for him. Thats unconditional Love. That means even if we fail to love and help others, God has his unconditional Love for us always. So REJOICE!

You can’t find this frined Jesus Christ in Orkut. But anytime you can pray to him with the belief that he listens to your prayer. He will answer your prayer/needs, because he is faithful to the promise that he has given to us, in Bible.

Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love.

Ephesians 3:19

So the next time when you need a friend to pour out your heart to, try Jesus. You wont go broken hearted, for he loves us so much. By the way, this friend of us is also God himself! And he is generous! His gifts to us are endless, but some of them to list here are: Love, patience, peace, joy, happiness, contentment, good health…..

If you dont trust my words, please read the Bible, whatever I have written heare are from the Bible only. And the Bible is the word of God himself. Bible is real, the Historians could not prove it wrong, the science could not prove it wrong, the religions could not prove it wrong. IT is God’s Word.

Get Encouraged

Posted by subiksha on September 23, 2009

We waste a lot of time and energy trying to figure out what other people want us to be. Then, we waste a lot of time and energy trying to become like that rather than just being what God made us to be. You’re manipulated and controlled by somebody else.

My Husband ever says this to me When we worry about what other people think, we let them control us.

Worrying about what other people think is dangerous because we’re more likely to cave in to criticism. It means we don’t always do the right thing; instead, we do the thing that everybody wants us to do.

And we’re in danger of missing God’s best because we’re so worried about what other people what us to do that we can’t stop to think about what God wants us to do.

• Fact #1: You cannot please everybody. Even God can’t please everybody. One person prays for it to rain; another prays for it to be sunny. In the Super Bowl, both teams are praying that they will win. Who is God going to answer? God can’t please everybody. Only a fool would try to do what even God can’t do. You can’t please everybody.

• Fact #2: It’s not necessary to please everybody. There is a myth that says you must be loved and approved by everybody in order to be happy. That’s just not true. You don’t have to please everybody in order to be happy in life.

• Fact #3: Rejection will not ruin your life. It hurts, sure. It’s not fun. It’s uncomfortable. But rejection will not ruin your life unless you let it.

Quit trying to please everybody! Remember that nobody can make you feel inferior unless you give them permission.

The Apostle Paul says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 TEV) This means we can think like this: ‘God likes me, and I like me; if you don’t like me, then you’ve got a problem. If God likes me, who cares that everybody doesn’t approve of everything I do.’

Remember, nothing you ever do will make God love you less. Nothing you ever do will make God love you more.

This encourages me a lot.He loves you completely right now.

The Good News

Posted by Hubert Godfrey on September 5, 2009

The Good News from the Bible is that God came down in the form of a man named Jesus Christ, to bear the sins of the whole world on himself and to die on the cross as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of the whole world.

Since now that our sins are forgiven, we have become holy by the grace of our God and saviour Jesus Christ, we are eligible to enter the eternal life in heaven after our life on this earth. What if Jesus did not die on the cross? If he hasnt died on the cross then we would have had no forgiveness of our sins and that means we would never enter heaven. Now isn’t it good news for us?

May be you never heard about this news earlier in your life. It may sound weird to you. But its the fact. All these things are recorded in the Bible. (Bible is the word of God for you and me.) The blow verse is taken from the Bible:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Though God had accomplished everything to save us from the sins and from satan, there is one thing God expects us to do. And that is to believe in Jesus. We need to believe on Jesus that he exists and he is able to save us.

So you heard the Good News that you will go to heaven if you believe in Jesus. Dont you want be sure that what Iam saying is troue? One thing you could do is to pray to Jesus like this:

Prayer:
Jesus, I thank you Lord for giving yourself as a sacrifice to save me from my sin and I believe that you are God. Amen

The next step for you would be is to read the Bible. As I said earlier the Bible is the word of God. So read for yourself the Bible to know what God wants to say to you. Read Bible Online

God Bless You.

Faith pleases God

Posted by Hubert Godfrey on August 28, 2009

Bible says:

And without faith it is impossible to please him(GOD), for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he (GOD) rewards those who seek him.
-Hebrews 11:16

This means having faith on God pleases Him. And when you have pleased God, he will grant the needs and true desires of your heart that you ask to  Him.

Did you notice the second part of the Bible verse above?  It says, “God rewards those who seek him”. Thats a promise God gives us. And when God promises there is no hidden conditions. Just believe Him, you will receive your reward.

You are not having true faith on God when you constantly get worried and ask God why He has not granted your wish yet. You are having faith on God when you ask Him for your need and not worry about it knowing that God will provide you in due time.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
-Mark 11:24

In the above Bible verse, Jesus clearly says that you need to believe that you have received what you asked for once you had prayed to God for it. Does it seem pretty tought to believe? Well, thats what is having faith in God.

Why read the Bible ?

Posted by Hubert Godfrey on August 26, 2009

Bible is God’s Word. So If you want to know about God then you need to read the Bible. All of God’s promisses for you and me are in the Bible.

The Bible has all the answers humans are searching for. Do you have these questions in your mind?: Who is God? Does He care for us? How much he loves us? How to please God? How will we get God’s blessings? and more importantly, What is Heaven? Will we go there when we die?…. The answers to all these questions are in the Bible.

How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
-Psalms 119:103

Reading the Bible gives strength for us to tacke our day to day problems and worries. Let us see some of the verses from Bible what it says about the Bible itself. In Psalm 119 King David praises Gods words like this:

Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light for my path.
-Psalms 119:105

When we have troubles in our lives and see no way out of it, the Bible shows the way out, it brings a hope in us.

Remember your promise to me, your servant;
       it gives me hope.
When I suffer, this comforts me:
       Your promise gives me life.
-psalms 119:49-50
